Michael Kamiya is Kenneth’s son and the current President of Kamiya Gold, Inc. Born and raised on the farm, Michael worked on the farm from a very young age. Since he was the only boy in the Kamiya household, he had to help his father after school and on weekends. After graduating from college, he worked in the advertising and commercial print industry for over 13 years. When the time came near for Kenneth to contemplate retirement, Michael made the decision to return to the family farm. In 2011, he left his corporate career and started work on the farm. In the 12 years since, Michael helped his father fulfill his dream of purchasing farmland in Punaluu to build the company’s new headquarters and packinghouse. After being named President in 2021, Michael oversees the day-to-day operations, accounting, human resources, food safety certification, pesticide certification, marketing, and communications for Kamiya Gold, Inc.
